Prayer Topics 31.05.09
"I am the True Vine, and my Father is the Gardener... Remain
in Me and I will remain in you.
No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine.
Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me... apart from
Me you can do nothing."

Give Thanks:
This is
Pentecost Sunday when we remember the Holy Spirit coming in power on
the believers,
enabling them
to witness boldly to the Cross and Ressurection of Jesus,
and empowering
them to live in the way that God commands in the Bible.
Christians throughout the world are praying that God's will is done in the Church
We are left in no doubt about Biblical teaching on sexual morality
Prayers:
Pray that we
will have the humility to know that we need Jesus in every aspect of
our lives and every day of our lives.
Pray for God's
blessing on our worship and on John Spencer as he leads our service.
Pray Gods
blessing on David Torrance and family
Pray for John
and Rose Spencer
Pray for
healing for those affected by the recent outbreak of flu.
Pray for
wisdom in those responsible for maintaining the health of the nation.
Pray that the poorest people in our society will be cared for, during the recession.
Continue to pray for peace, comfort and healing for all, especially strengthen those who are beginning to see God at work.
Continue to pray for the 2 year-old who has leukaemia that he will be well soon.
Pray for a good recovery for those who have had major surgery recently.
The
Church is the only society on earth that exists for the benefit of non-members.
Pray that we
will have this attitude as we tell others the Good News that Jesus
forgives sin, gives new life and hope for the future.
